Workshop: Towards Human-Centered Intelligent Cockpits for Automated Vehicles
12:00 - 16:00 on 28th Aug 2024
Location: The University of Sunderland, Sunderland, UK
1 Motivation and General Scope
The intelligent cockpit has become a key field for the competitiveness of automotive products and user experience. The development of emerging technologies such as augmented reality, digital humans, large language models (LLMs), and multimodal fusion interactions has made it feasible to achieve highly trustworthy, personalized, and natural human-automation interaction in intelligent cockpits. Meanwhile, the booming development of automated driving technologies brings new opportunities and challenges for intelligent cockpits. Emphasizing human factors, ergonomics, and human-computer interactions in the design, usage, and evaluation of intelligent cockpits and automated driving systems, this workshop aims to exchange current research and development trends in this field, foster international collaborations, and explore advanced solutions and innovative ideas for enhancing safety, user experience, and social acceptance of intelligent cockpits and automated driving systems.
